Video encoding, we offer film conversion, convert your old VHS video's to
MPG, DVD, RealPlayer, QuickTime, avi and MPEG.

Video Encoding, of most video tape formats, can be encoded to Real Player, Quicktime, Mpeg 1, Mpeg 2, Windows Media and Avi, for Powerpoint presentations, Ms Word and for video streaming off your own webpages. The cost is just £2 per minute plus vat. You need to have an idea of what use your encoded file is going to be put to, so that we can work out the kind of frame size and file size you want the file to be when its played back. For instance if its going to be run form PowerPoint or MSword on your hard drive, you could virtually use any format you choose. If it were to be used on a website, mainly by users who have 56k modems we would expect the file to be heavily encoded with one of the examples below. For people who have a faster connection to the Internet we would use less compression, hence better image quality. We can even email the file back to you when completed. You must of course have previously paid for it unless you have an account with us.

The Cost is Just £2 per minute plus Vat

Minimum Charge £25

Please note if you want several short clips ( 1 or 2 minutes) off the same or separate video’s then this will be charged on an our time Basis of £50 per hour plus vat or £25 per clip no more than 7mins. Minimum order charge £25.

We can of course encode at higher or lower bit rates and other formats, like avi, quicktime and Real Media, depending on the application you want to put it to. Mpeg 1 seems to be most popular for powerpoint presentations, We recently converted 100 video tapes for a large Insurance company for archival purposes, Mpeg1 was their preference. Whilst a recent training company required Windows Media files to stream from their Intranet
